Following up on my Shop Nintendo: Wii Edition, here are my three favorite DS games. There's an incredible selection of DS games out there, but these three are perfect for on the go gals--perfect for waiting in that long holiday line at the post office or sitting in the airport terminal.
The Professor Layton Series
There's a whole series of Professor Layton games and they are, by far, my favorite of my DS games. Professor Layton and his sidekick, Luke, find themselves in a series of mysterious adventures that require Layton and Luke to solve puzzles, riddles, and brain teasers. The series includes The Curious Village, The Unwound Future, and The Diabolical Box, all loads of fun. I would highly recommend these games for anybody who enjoys logic-based games.
A great gift for a reader and DS owner, 100 Classic Books includes a great selection of books including some of my favorites, The Secret Garden, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and Little Women. I love throwing my DS in my purse when I am traveling and having a great classic book collection on hand.
Did you read Nancy Drew books as a kid? I loved Nancy Drew--and my mom did, too--so I picked up the Nancy Drew game for us to try out. This would be a fantastic game for a girl who loves Nancy. Or, even better, package it up with Nancy Drew and The Secret of the Old Clock and introduce her the fabulous mystery series. (There's a Hardy Boys game, too, for the boys!)
awesome! Those are some great ones. I've played a little Professor Layton but never picked one up. My favorite DS games (the ones I currently have in my travel case) are New Super Mario Bros, MarioKart DS, and Zelda. I'm also hoping to pick up scribblenauts some day, but I can't justify getting a new DS game while I still haven't beaten the three I'm working on and have owned for over a year.
