Here are a few more photos I took with my phone in 2010. I got a new camera for Christmas (a gift from my wonderful husband) and still have my trusty Nikon, but I am loving being able to take photos on the go and share them with you.
This is the view from my Santa Barbara hotel room during the Loop weekend. We had a whole row of rooms and, on the morning we were supposed to conquer the Loop, everyone was too hung over from the previous night and didn't want to go. I enjoyed the lovely little patio for a few minutes and then started banging on doors. We didn't go all that way to fail before we even got to the first bar. Please.
What's going on here is: I entered a Poker game at my Aunt's house one weekend and promptly started losing all my chips. When I was down to just a tiny stack, I called in reinforcements. Mike took over and won back all my money, plus some, while I played Just Dance on the Wii. This is how I prefer to gamble.
I made a mask at a Día de los Muertos festival.
You don't realize how a disco ball can make your life complete until you have one discoing in the living room.
The Spot is a great little burger joint in Carpinteria, California. It's greasy and fatty and full of delicious. On our way home for Thanksgiving, we stopped at Freebirds. On our way back we stopped at The Spot. We like to bookend our cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes with nachos and onion rings.
I wait all year for this.
mmm, I love peppermint ice cream too. In the interests of my waistline, we didn't buy any this year, but I did get a bowl (or three . . . ) at my in laws' over Thanksgiving.

OMG, I absolutely LOVE this ice cream. I actually got some for a birthday present this year (my birthday is in late Nov.), and it took me until this week to polish it off, eating and savoring one or two spoonfuls every few nights, but yummmmmm. It was worth it!
