A conversation between me and my mom, 10 minutes ago.
Mom: Janet, have you started packing?
Me: Um, well, I ordered boxes from Costco today. They will be delivered in two to four business days. Progress!
Mom: Janet, you are moving in EIGHT days.
Me: I know, I know. I'm doing stuff.
Mom: Like what?
Me: Well, for example, I am cleaning out my craft cabinet. It's a huge mess right now, but it going to be awesomely organized in a few hours.
Mom: Okay, your job for today is to stay focused. No making good-bye gifts for the neighbors! No reading magazines! How's your closet?
Me: It's cool.
Mom: Why don't you try to get everything off the closet floor, laundered, and on hangers by the end of the evening.
(How does she know that half the closet is on the floor? Mom ESP or something.)
Me: Well, I'll work on that, but I think I'm going to the movies later.
Mom: Going to the movies is not packing, missy. Do you need to me to come up there? I'll drive up there right now and get you on track.
Thank goodness for moms. Mine's been bossing me around since 1980. Not that I always listen (I'm gonna go see The Switch in a bit, even though it might get me into t-r-o-u-b-l-e).
My mom also says that y'all should go enter to win $150 from the Laughing Cow on my Review Blog. Take it from me: it's best to do what she says.
Hilarious! :) That made me smile!
Thanks for visiting my blog!!

Don't worry, when I moved from Boston to Amherst, I packed while moving boxes down to the UHaul. By my standards, you're ahead of the game. :D

I told you to pack while I was there! Just finish that bottle of wine and crank up pandora and in no time it will be done. Plus you have to finish all the sweets before Will gets back
