I adore Anthropologie's windowscapes. Of course, I do. But I particularly adore them when they do something meaningful. Remember the bee windows?
Now, Anthropologie is teaching us about recycling plastic. Did you know that fifty million plastic bottles were consumed in the U.S. alone last year--38 billion of which ended up in landfills? Yup, and science tells us that these bottles will not biodegrade until the next millennium.
Anthropologie's spring windows are all done up in an ever-so-lovely used plastic bottles. And, they have provided instructions for making your own plastic bottle bouquets.
The full set of Spring 2010 Window photos is here.
i work at anthro and got to help with my store's opening, which meant lots and lots of water bottle cutting! our display is behind our registers, and always draws comments from customers. they're really so easy to make!

Is that THE yellow dress? Can't you order it in the size you needed??? Quick, before some other size two is wearing your dress. I'll make you a corsage out of plastic water bottles to go with it.
