Yesterday, I wrote this about my fabulous DS party:
Furthermore, there was an endless supply of Jelly Belly beans, toffee bars, and marzipan cookies. My only regret about this whole endeavor is that I only ate half of a marzipan cookie and, let me tell you, I have been thinking about that delicious cookie all weekend and wishing that I would have eaten at least two more and perhaps slipped one into my purse for later. Can somebody from Nintendo please send word about the cookies; where would one purchase the cookies if one needed a dozen or so?Well, friends, Nintendo did not just send word, Nintendo sent cookies.
They officially are Almond Horns, by the way, and they arrived via EMERGENCY SAME-DAY COURIER. I received the cookies less than 5 hours after the post went live and they came from a whole town over, across the Sacramento River, near a mall that I never go to on account of the traffic. In other words, they came from a land very far away.
Can you imagine my excitement? I've never received a box of cookies via Emergency Same-Day Delivery. In fact, I've never received anything via Emergency Same-Day Delivery, but even if I had I can't imagine it being more exciting than a big surprise cake box full of Almond Horns.
(I mean, what do people send by way of Emergency Same-Day Courier anyway? Legal documents? Contracts? Very important business paperwork? Lab work? Certainly all those sorts of things. But, also? COOKIES! Emergency Same-Day Cookies!)
(Seriously, Justine, you are completely spoiling me! Emergency Same-Day Cookies? Could I be any happier?)
The cookies are so wonderfully delicious, so perfectly almondy with just the right amount of crunchy edges and soft middles, that I almost don't want to tell the secret of where you can find them. It could be like a family recipe! Only I would know where to find the most delicious almond cookies in the world and everybody would invite me to their dinner parties and picnics, knowing that I would arrive with the most amazing-ever almond treats.
But, alas, the photos probably already give away the location and, if not, you can leave a comment and I'll respond with the secret. If you already know or once you find out, keep the information classified. We don't want word to spread too fast or there won't be enough cookies available, Emergency Same-Day Delivery or otherwise.
Wow, that's amazing!

I like to think I'm as cool as you, since we both love the law and pink. But, alas, I'm not. Enjoy your cookies!

You are killing me!!! Although in Ohio, I would send for them! As for Emergency Same Day Delivery, I used to work in the land of ESDD (that's insider lingo, there). Problem printing out the special reports for the meeting. No worries. If you pay enough, you can get it there. I used to know all the companies, all the flight schedules for each airline ... JUST IN CASE. I'm surprised i still have all my limbs.

I have to admit...i'm quite disappointed that I wasn't able to make it to your DS party. The pictures looked great (and so do the amazing cookies).
1. I would've LOVED to see you- why do i have to be in college?!
2. I'd stuff my face with almond cookies
3. I really REALLY want a DS.
Glad you had a good turn out. Love and Miss
