I saw an incredible number of terrible movies in 2008--Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Role Models, Yes Man, You Don't Mess With The Zohan, and Four Christmases, to name a few.
I am hoping for better in 2009 and my first film of the year, Slumdog Millionaire, didn't disappoint. It's a brilliant, raw film that certainly has me encouraged.
I am SO excited and anxious to see this flick. None of the theaters in my city are showing it yet!

I didn't think Four Christmases was horrible, but that's the only one on your list I saw last year. But I will certainly check out Slumdog Millionaires when it reaches Netflix.

I just saw slumdog millionaire a week ago- and yes! it was great. But I'm with you with the crappy films of 2008... I was mostly disappointed. except for Wall-e... that was a good one.

I have heard nothing but good things about this movie, so I'm looking forward to seeing it.
I also thought that Four Christmases was awful -- I almost got up and left -- so it will be nice to see something really good!

It's your own fault you were disappointed by that list of movies. I predicted those would suck when I saw the trailers. However, I did hear Millionaires was great; can't wait to see that.
You're so right--movies this year blew.
