Will and I are hosting an engagement party for Anthony and Amanda next week. I made the invitations before I had a finalized guest list and I made about a dozen too many of the little things, each of which required cutting, pasting, folding, trimming, and lining by myself and my poor husband who always gets stuck with the tedious jobs like trimming paper into precisely two by two inch squares.
So, now I have a dozen little pink and brown match boxes with nowhere to go and I just can't bear to throw them out. I totally know that it is in bad form to invite people to the engagement party who aren't invited to the wedding, but screw it. Y'all want to come to a party?
What a brilliant idea with the match boxes! How clever. I love it! They look so pretty. Very well done.

I love that matchbox idea. You're so clever! But I'm pretty clever, too, because I'm going to steal your idea. (With credit to you, of course.) Happy engagement party!

Very cute idea for invites -- are you sure you really want to be a lawyer? Seems to me you are much to creative to exist in a boring stuffy world of attorneys.

Wow, did you make those big A's, too? Love!

You are amazingly crafty. If the whole lawyer thing doesnt work out, I am sure you can find big fame and fortune in party plannig. ;)
I love the giant A's too! Great idea!

Those invites are AWESOME. I say you keep them around as a decorative statement. Or put actual matches in them, since those are way prettier than normal matchboxes.

Have a lovely party!
