We've done some crazy shit, but this, this takes the cake.
We are building a robot.
I'd like to tell you about it, but I seriously do not understand all the robot-lingo going on down at the robot building headquarters; lingo being spoken by my students who are, like, way smarter than I am, as in they have perfect SAT scores and are applying to Harvard. Several dozen 17-year-olds were talking about chassis and power distribution and circuit breakers and quick disconnect and pivot brackets and you, like I, probably have no clue what the hell a Nippon-Denso Window LH Motor is but a bunch of high schoolers are totally gonna use it to make a robot throw a ball through a ring or some crap.
All I know is that we are building a 130-pound robot and we have six weeks to do it. Then we take it to competition.
I just thought I would tell y'all because, um, what?
Whenever I have a computer or cell phone problem, (waaaay above my head technically!) I tell Hubby, what I need is to go down to the corner and get a 7 year old to fix it!
Makes me want to have another kid just for free computer service!

This for a photography class? Or is this your school that is building it? Sounds fun. We never got to do stuff like that when I was in high school.

Yes, I second Malia's question. Are you involved with the building of this robot at all, or do you just have to listen to the technological jargon-speak? :)

Huh. Gotta say I didn't see the robot thing coming. Definitely curious!

I just have to say that your title for this post is cracking me up.
And giving me an earworm.

That's sounds awesome! My high school never did that fun stuff, but we did all pull of the 1st Punk Rock Prom. We all helped pay for these damn old records on ebay that we needed.
That's school spirit!
