Before I model the three outfits I put together, I want to tell you how absolutely thrilled I am with these leggings. I actually wore them out to dinner on Saturday night, fell asleep wearing them, and then ran in them the following morning. How often do you have items of clothing that can work for a night out on the town, pajamas, and workout gear. Imagine how perfect these would be for travel! Throw a few pair of these leggings, a couple of white t-shirts, and a few pretty tunics or dresses in a small bag and you'd be set for a week-long getaway! The versatility and quality are superb and they come with the added bonus of shaping, slimming, and smoothing.
Here are just a few ways to wear these leggings:
Ways to Wear #1: Layers!
I love the look of layers over leggings and found some comfortable layering items. I ended up layering a long tank and ruffled cardigan sweater over a summer tank dress--the perfect way to make summer dresses wearable in colder weather. I added a teal belt at the waist, to pull in all the layers at the waistline, and a pair of Mary Jane heels. Perfect for a ride down to the deli to pick up an Eskimo pie. It may be winter, but were on the California coast so we don't put away our summer dresses and we're always up for an Eskimo Pie.
Ways to Wear #2: The Ranch Hand
We live in a ranching town, so riding boots are an absolute must. This is what I wear downtown to look like I can hold my own down on the ranch (which, of course, I can't): the leggings, a black tank, a brown sweater, a jacket, a ponytail, and, of course, the boots. Now, if only I had a horse, the outfit would be complete. Maybe I should add a pony to my holiday wish list.
Ways to Wear #3: The Classic Black and Gray (with a hint of pink)
For those of you who follow Slice of Pink, you'll know that black and gray are my standby colors. The majority of the items in my closet consist of these two colors, which I brighten up with the occasional colored accessory. This was such a simple outfit--the Shapewear Leggings paired with a gray dress, black cardigan, pair of flats, and chunky pink and white necklace. An easy look for holiday shopping, grabbing a latte with a friend, or browsing in the bookstore.
