Stand Up Routine

Speech

This is me backstage, quickly writing my speech for the robotics 10 year reunion last Friday night. This showed up in the Antelope Valley press yesterday:

"I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of the robotics team, to be a part of this family," [Wallace] said, noting she has seen these students grow up, graduate, go to college, become engaged and marry. "It's so nice to share that with you."

I don't know if the press quoted my speech correctly because my notes were indecipherable scribbles on a sheet of lined paper, but I do know that they failed to quote any of my funny bits. Which is totally not cool.

Love your scarf!

For some reason this reminds me of an episode of "Will and Grace"!

The Valley Press probably did not get your jokes...or they couldn't spell them...btw-- we already miss you guys-- when are you coming back?

it's ok, they didnt quote me at all! And for the rest of you commenters, I was there, Janet was brilliant!

Well, it sounds like you did quite a good job for not preparing your speech until right before you had to give it! Go, you! :)

Ha ha ha. Did you like the front page pic of all of us? I thought that was funny...along with your speech :P
