Goodbye 2007, Goodbye

January
We rang in the New Year with sangria and champagne. A state of emergency was declared in California after an inch of snow fell. I applied to law school. We started another robotics season.

February
I turned 27 and got a crazy polka dotted cake and a pink unicorn piñata that I kept in the living room for six months. My students and I made a 4-page list of Valentine puns. We volunteered at The Painted Turtle camp.

March
My students wrote out over 7000 chalk digits of Pi to celebrate Pi Day. Topanga, our beta fish, died. I was accepted into some law schools. We visited sunny San Diego and then spent a week each in Philadelphia and Los Angeles.

April
I forgot to renew Slice of Pink and we almost had to go yellow. We checked out Arizona State University, but decided on UC Davis for law school. The robotics team went to the championship in Atlanta. I decided to exercise by hula hooping which lasted all of five minutes--just long enough to buy a hula hoop. My students gave you relationship advice and Barquan did a popular guest post.

May
Kiley, Kevin, Will and I got a fancy award from the school district for our work with the robots. My brother-in-law got engaged to Amanda. My advanced students and I won the high school talent show with a choreographed routine to I'm Too Sexy by Right Said Fred.

June
Barquan made a tribute video for Will and I. We visited Davis and Will got a new job. Will and I took headshots of our friends Zanon and Kelly with our new Nikon D200. We ate at Pinkberry, Pink, and Sprinkles in a one million-calorie day. I documented a Saturday and posted a UV photo of my skin.

July
I reviewed my life as a teacher. I made the first of many Banana Caramel Spice Pies. We went to the Magic Castle and the Harry Potter release party, where we were the magician's assistant and Harry & Hermione, respectively.

August
Will and I celebrated our 4th anniversary in Santa Barbara and then moved to Davis where I started law school. More importantly, I learned to line dance.

September
We lived in a hotel for 26 days until we finally moved into our new apartment. I almost dropped out of law school but decided, what the hell? Maybe I'd give it another go. I was in a wedding. I learned to work the oven, and it wasn't easy.

October
We met up with Anthony and Amanda in San Francisco and then they came to visit us in Davis. I carved a kitty pumpkin and rode my bike home in the rain for the first time.

November
I posted every single day. Michelle and I hosted a wine and cheese extravaganza. We had a sexier or smarter debate. I ate a lot of peppermint. I expressed my disdain for Christmas consumerism, causing some people to heartily agree and pissing off some others. I organized my books by color.

December
I lived through law school finals and shopped for Christmas gifts. I ate more peppermint, drank some champagne, and said goodbye to 2007.

Goodbye 2007. It was a real pleasure.
