Streamline Productions Presents
The robotics team recently had an end-of-the-season party at our local minor league baseball stadium. We had a big barbeque dinner and an awards ceremony and then we all stayed to watch the game.
Right before the game was to start, the robotics team was able to show their annual video on the stadium's big screen. Barquan filmed and edited the annual video this year and he made an extra movie as well, a kind of tribute to Will and I since we will be moving to Davis in the fall. The video of us was also shown on the big screen for everyone--including hundreds of people I did not know--to see. It is a kind of montage of an interview we did and photos and video clips taken throughout the year. There is also a lot of footage of me without makeup, making some weird, fake video laugh, and rapping to Vanilla Ice. And, yet, it is very moving and wonderful and something that I will cherish for a long to come, along with my memories of robotics and the amazing students I have come to love.
The other video Barquan made, the one that highlights our trips, is here. That is where you can see our robot in action and, also, how awesome my Vanilla Ice rapping skillz really are.

That is such a sweet video! I'm sure they are going to miss you tons! Did you cry while they were showing it? I probably would have cried.

The videos were great! It looks like you've got a great group of kids. It's amazing how they weasel their way into your heart. I swore I didn't like high schoolers, but there are a lot of kids at the hubby's new school that I really like. I s'pose they're okay after all.

I wish I had teachers like the two of you when I was in high school. I might have turned out to be a better person. Seriously, you have done so much for these kids, and it shows how much they loved and appreciated the two of you. Years from now when one of them is on the Oprah show for being famous, they will definitely attribute their success to the fabulous teachers (Jan and Will)they had in high school.

That is an amazing video... I was really feeling homesick after watching this video. You are excellent mentors that have inspired not only your students, but friends as well :)

And tell Will he's right... his wife IS pretty.
And those are some mad juggling skillz... and your rapping's not half bad either.

Janet, that is the most awesome thing ever! I can't believe it took me so long to watch this. Very, very cool and fun to see you and Will interacting with each other the same way I always witnessed myself. You guys are so cute together. :)
