Pickled Pink
Consider this:
Kathryn and I bought one of those giant dill pickles at Hurricane Harbor Wednesday.
According to the label, the pickle had 0 calories and 0 fat. If this is indeed true, and if it is true that you expend calories chewing and digesting, then eating the pickle should actually result in negative calories.
In other words, eating pickles equals weight loss. I have conquered the diet industry.
Three cheers for the inimitable pickle.

and I always love a good pickle.

See, that's how Anna Nicole did it. All those pickles she was eating. TrimSpa, yeah right.

I've been thinking about the negative pickle-calories theory all day. I was thinking about this when I was having a shrimp omelette for breakfast, French bread with butter and jam (dipped in my latte) for my 11am newspaper break, when I was having Indian for lunch, and when I was sharing 3 desserts with friends for dinner at the oh-so-good Park Chow. I haven't eaten anything in 3 hours and I'm starving. I figured, this would be the perfect time to have those pickles…then I can have some Haagen Dazs Banana Split ice-cream before going to sleep.
Thanks for giving me a reason to think about simple things like pickles...and for your comments, Janet. Always heart warming.

Totally regretting the $150 I spent on boot camp at 5:30am. Should've invested it in a vat of pickles and slept in.
